GATES: The Guernsey Live Festival site opening and
closing hours are Midday - 11pm on Saturday & Midday -
11pm on Sunday.
TICKETS:
You will be wristbanded at the entrance gates in exchange
for a portion of your ticket. Please retain the rest of your
ticket as re-entry is not possible without this portion.
Ensure you do not remove your wristband until you have left
the festival site (which will be Sunday if you have a weekend
wristband) as you will be ejected without one. Tickets are
non-refundable and non-transferable. Right of admission refused.
ID is essential at the Gate.
DISABLED
CUSTOMERS: There are toilets and easy access to all
areas. Guide dogs for the blind and/or deaf are the only animals
permitted on the festival site.
CHILDREN:
12's & Under gain free entry into the festival only if
accompanied by an adult (18 years and above), but will not
be permitted in the Dance Arena.
We do recommend 'not' to bring children under 5 years old
as their hearing is under-developed and loud music can seriously
damage their hearing.
RUBBISH:
IMPORTANT! Be MINDFUL of your litter. There are plenty of
bins provided, so please use them!
Respect your environment which is Victoria Avenue & its
playing fields and keep the area tidy.
Recycling bins will be provided around the site for all aluminium
cans & plastic bottles. We strongly urge you to support
our onsite recycling programme. It only takes a minute to
find a bin!!
BARS
& FOOD: You don't have to be 18 to attend, however
you must be 18 or over to purchase alcoholic drinks so it
is essential to bring your ID with you. If you do not look
21 years or above, you may be refused to be served alcohol,
so ensure you produce ID when asked. Alcohol will dehydrate
you, please ensure you pace yourself and top up throughout
the day with soft drinks or water.
There is a food village on site selling a whole variety of
cuisine delights. No food is allowed to be brought onto site
as food can be purchased from the licensed festival caterers
who are fully insured and registered with States of Guernsey
Public Health Service.
TOILETS:
There will be a large amount of toilets positioned around
the site. The toilets will be cleaned and emptied throughout
the day. Please ensure to respect people who will be using
the toilet after you.
PROHIBITED:
The festival site is a licensed premises. No umbrellas, tents,
chairs, bottles, cans, containers, alcohol or food will be
permitted at the festival, however, Flags are!! Fly them high
with pride! It is also a good way for your friends to identify
where you may be on site! Water & non alcoholic drinks
in plastic bottles with unbroken seals up to 500ml per person
are permitted. There is a strict NO GLASS policy, this is
for the safety of yourself and others.
ILLEGAL
SUBSTANCES: Do not attempt to bring illegal substances
on site as you stand a very real chance of being caught and
subsequently arrested. The same applies to anything that is
deemed to be an offensive weapon.
WARNING:
Please be advised that CCTV cameras will be in operation around
the festival site.
Anyone attempting to throw cans or projectiles will be arrested
immediately and prosecuted.
THE
NEIGHBOURS: We are very privileged to be able to
use Victoria Avenue Playing Fields & its surrounding area's,
and we would like to continue to do so year after year. We
need your help to keep the local community happy. Please ensure
you leave the site quietly. Do not park in any of the surrounding
lanes. Apart from causing an annoyance to the residents you
will be towed away. There will be temporary restrictions around
the site for the festival weekend. You will get stuck or towed
away if you do not follow the plan and ensure you park in
the designated areas.
CAMPING:
Campsite open from Midday Friday 2nd May!! Campers will be
welcome to use the facilities on offer form Island Bowl: Toilets,
Cafe, Bar, Bowling, Lockers, Chillout. Island Bowl Open from
8am - 12.45am.
There is a restricted amount of secure 24hr camping available
to off island visitors at the festival. Security will do a
sweep of the surrounding area's and remove anybody that should
not be there.

TRAVEL
INFORMATION: Island Coach Ways run a number of scheduled
bus services from St Peter Port. You can board any of the
following Bus Routes: 6, 6a, 7 & 8 which all travel en
route to the Guernsey Live Festival.
Running times are every fifteen minutes on the hour until
6.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
There is a Festival Coach service returning to the Weighbridge
roundabout in St Peter Port which leaves from 9.30pm on both
Saturday and Sunday from the Red Lion Pub, La Grande Bouet
(see map).
Limited return coach tickets will be available (in advance)
from Wave Telecom, 24 High Street, St Peter Port & Number
19 records, 19 Le Pollet, St Peter Port. Only pre paid tickets
will be accepted for travel.
It is always best to arrange your journey home prior to coming
on site, purchase festival coach tickets, check taxi point
etc and ensure you leave in plenty of time to get home safely.
TAXIS:
Taxi Drop off & pick up point will be Trafalgar Park area.
DIRECTIONS:
If by car, from St. Peter Port, proceed up Glategny Esplanade
(a temporary speed limit maybe in effect for pedestrian safety).
You will then be directed by festival traffic security to
the designated parking area's. Security will direct you to
the pedestrian entrance at the festival site. Public entry
will be through The Track.
DRIVING:
The festival organisers strongly recommend that festival goers
should use Island Coach Ways bus service & the Festival
return coach service in preference to driving. Drinking and
driving is a serious offence, so don't risk losing your licence.
CAR
PARKING: Salerie Corner Car Park is situated north
of Glategny Esplanade. Arrive early to guarantee your parking
space. There will be parking for 350 cars only. It is recommended
that a designated non drinking driver takes responsibility
to ensure everybody a safe journey home at the end of the
evening (We cannot accept any responsibility for any theft
or damage to vehicles whilst parked in the assigned areas).
Car Park open from 10.30 am.
WEATHER
& SOUND: Please be aware prolonged exposure to
amplified sound may cause permanent hearing damage. Beware
of prolonged exposure to the SUN. Use UV protective sun cream!
